This £17m job is a basically a shed to house freezers as part of the redevelopment of the Port. Main contractor was Kier and Harrington's were doing the removal of underground obstructions, pile mats then groundworks package.

This job had a bit of everything, started of surveying and recording underground obstructions before their removal then

setting out and levels for :

  • pile mat
  • pile caps and groundbeams
  • 61 sets of holding down bolts
  • upstand walls
  • various slabs, walls and ramps
  • suspended ground floor slab

Also whilst with Harringtons we did the setting out and surveying for Grange Road, Ash which was roads, sewers and plots for 52 unit development, and externals for the finishing stages of Deer Park School in Botley - we had done the majority of works on the first visit in 2020.  Also did a little extension to the sports hall, which was only 12 pads holding down bolts.

I like working with Harrington's, they required the engineer, instrument, software etc which we could do.
